The Trust is committed to supporting staff with their health and wellbeing. It is also important that managers can support their staff with health and wellbeing

Employees of Bedfordshire Hospitals are able to attend training on any site. 

Mental Health Training Catalogue 

This catalogue lists the current training available on the
topic of Mental Health. This has been categorised into 2
sections:
Section 1: Supporting patients with mental health issues
within a hospital setting.
Section 2: Looking after your own mental health and
wellbeing.
*The Mental Health Training Group are currently
reviewing all mental health training provisions to ensure
that any future training meets the needs of the
organisation , departments, staff and patients. Updates will
be communicated via the Week, Training and Learning
Newsletter and the Training website.

Mental Health First Aid 

This course will teach you practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues.

Gain confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress.

On completion you will be a certified Mental Health First Aider. 

This course is a blend of live training sessions and self-learning activities. 

Freedom to Speak Up - E-Learning on ESR

NHS England aims to ensure everyone working within the NHS feels safe and confident to speak up. We encourage our NHS leaders to take the opportunity to learn and improve from those who speak up.

We want everyone working in the NHS to feel safe and confident to speak up and all NHS leaders to welcome this opportunity to learn and improve.

We seek to improve the quality of speaking up arrangements across the NHS in a number of way. 

Staff in various roles can complete the Freedom To Speak Up E-learning to help gain understanding and knowledge of this initiative.
