An apprenticeship is a job with training. Through an apprenticeship, an apprentice will gain the technical knowledge, practical experience and wider skills and behaviours that they need for their immediate job and future career.

Apprenticeships can be used as a staff development tool and a way for existing staff to achieve a nationally recognised qualification. Apprenticeships are not just for young people starting out in the workplace they are for everyone who wishes to develop in their current role or start a new career whatever their age or existing qualification level. The Trust currently has over 250 staff enrolled onto an apprenticeship ranging from level 2 to level 7 qualifications.

There are a range of clinical and non-clinical apprenticeships available.
If you are interested in undertaking an apprenticeship as your route of study please take a look on the Institute of Apprenticeships & Technical Education Website for detailed information about all of the standards available.

The Trusts Apprenticeships Team can also support staff and their managers to understand all aspects of an apprenticeship and talk you through the Trust processes for enrolment. Before contacting a training provider or advertising for an Apprenticeship post please speak to a member of the team as there are a number of guidelines that we must adhere to.
